GRANDMA'S
KITCHEN
In
Grandma's kitchen, how I lived
The
scents awaiting me --
Of
apple sauce still bubbling hot, and sweet, orange spicy tea;
The
fragrant bread -- I smell it yet --
and
rolls of cinnamon...
her
gingerbread, so rich and warm,
with
whipped cream just for fun.
Her
mincemeat pies would fill the air
with
cinnamon and cloves;
that's
how I'll always think of her,
A
cooking by the stove.
Oh,
ever will those tasty smells
Evoke
a memory
Of
Grandma, who was always there
To
show her love for me.
