Norwegian Apple Pie
Grandma New's recipeIngredients
| 1 | egg |
| 3/4 C | sugar |
| 1 t | vanilla |
| 1/4 t | salt |
| 1 t | baking powder |
| 1/2 C | flour |
| 1/2 C | chopped walnuts |
| 1 C | diced apples |
Preparation
Beat egg, sugar, vanilla, salt and baking powder together until smooth and fluffy. Beat in flour until smooth and well blended. Stir in walnuts and apples. Turn into a lightly greased 8" pie plate and bake 30 minutes. Pie will puff up as it cooks, then collapse as it cools. Serve warm, topped with a scoop of ice milk. Yields 6 servings.
