Mini Chocolate-Cream Cheese Cupcakes

A secret family recipe from one of Diana's friends in Phoenix. 

Ingredients

1 Chocolate Cake mix
8 oz cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 C sugar
1/8 t salt
chocolate chips

Preparation

Mix chocolate cake mix and put into miniature cupcake papers till half full.  Mix cream cheese, egg, sugar and salt to make filling mixture.  Drop 1/2 t filling into center of each cupcake.  To with 1 or 2 chocolate chips and bake for 15 - 18 minutes at 350 degrees.  When cool store in refrigerator.

Alternate:  Mix cake mix and pour into cake pan.  Swirl topping into cake mix.  Sprinkle chocolate chips over cake.  Bake 20-25 minutes.
